Life is what happens to us while we are making other plans!

Hello there! This is me Annette Maria, from KMCH College Of Occupational Therapy, doing my final year as an undergraduate in occupational therapy. My experience as an occupational therapy student has been quite insightful, and let me take this moment to pen it down here. Occupational therapy was not my passion until I heard about it. It was a coincidence that I came into this field as my ambition was always to pursue math. But as mentioned in the quote above, life had other plans for me!

Although it was with some hesitation that I joined this course, now, I am much grateful for the understanding that has increased exponentially and the great growth and change it has brought within me. The course has helped me so much through the four years in terms of academics and life per se. It has taught me the values of life. Before my first year of the occupational therapy course commenced, my knowledge of the field of study was limited. Now that I have stepped into this profession, it has taught me how to deal with clients and also see them get back into their normal lives.

To me, there is no better reward that I can ask for other than seeing those happy faces after their therapy session. Can't wait to see this profession go to the heights though it has already has had its reach. Doing something different from the normal has been one particular thing I have been following, and that could be one reason why I ended up choosing this course and didn’t get the room to regret it. Always thankful and grateful for the exposure I have had as a student in the field of occupational therapy, and would like to enhance my skills, thus bringing a new change!
